Conservation Education: Foundations
Discover the basics of conservation education through 17 hours of high-quality recorded content with industry experts. This introductory course explores audience engagement, programme planning, storytelling, educational materials and evaluation across five units. It is entirely online and self-guided, with no practical elements or in-person sessions. All lessons are in English with English subtitles, and you can complete one assignment per unit in your own time, with no assignment deadlines. Each assignment is marked by one of LSeT’s experts. Designed as a starting point for further learning, the course introduces the knowledge behind effective conservation education rather than providing practical professional training.

Bringing It Together: Follow the process of combining your ideas into a structured programme plan.
Conservation Storytelling & Interpretation Techniques
Foundations of Conservation Storytelling: Explore how stories create connections between audiences and conservation issues. Crafting Impactful Narratives: Learn how emotion, clarity and structure can strengthen conservation messages. Story Delivery and Interpretation: Explore ways to present conservation stories, including interpretation insights from guest speaker Sophy Hughes.
Designing Effective Educational Materials
Visual Design and Communication: Explore how layout, images and clear messages make educational materials more engaging.
