Defining Wildlife Care
What 'good wildlife care' actually means.
Most training in zookeeper and wildlife care focuses on knowledge transfer, but lacks a clear and consistent way to define and assess professional competence. This framework addresses that gap through a structured system of competency units, assessment criteria, and practical implementation tools. Together with the online course and its first pilot implementation in India, the framework forms a connected system: defining standards, enabling learning, and supporting real-world application.
