FROM TRAINEES’ JOURNALS
Mr. Anil Garg & Paradise Aviaries was the main motivation behind my joining LSeT’s Training Program.
Since the beginning, I had a very keen interest in learning more about exotics and being able to take care of them in a proper and professional way. And so I followed Mr. Anil Garg in his journey, his collection and success scenes and soon enough I came across the training opportunity at LSeT under the guidance of Anil Sir and other such experts. It was the perfect opportunity for me to actually gain more and more knowledge about working with exotic animals, their behaviour, nutrition pattern and even gain some clinical knowledge. I choose LSeT because nowhere else in India would I have received guidance from experts under one roof on such a variety of subjects. Gaining knowledge about different species, handling them, learning animal behaviour, different nutritional requirements of different species, their specific environmental needs, understanding health issues & treatments with lots of practicals & hands-on experience this my main motivation to join LSeT.

I think LSeT is a good platform for all the beginners and myself. It is providing me with all the things which are needed to gain proper knowledge in a broader sense of practical and creative work. LSeT has many skilled professionals and experienced people from whom I can learn lots of different things which I never really know before in my life. It has various aspects to learn on like animals and birds care & management, watching the behaviour of them inside the enclosures, their like & dislike of foods, about their foods diet management, their abnormal behaviour before sickness. LSeT is also helping me to develop my inner skills related to this field like enrichment of enclosure, development in the nest box for birds as per their need and likes. At workshops, we learn about cage making as per birds need and easy excess by handlers which would be easy to maintain by us. We also develop different types of feeders, drinkers, incubator and brooder. So that’s why I think with the help of LSeT and its animal care and management program I can learn lots of important things which is needed in this field for me and in future which it will lead me to a skilled person and with those skills I will go for my career goals of getting a job as a zookeeper in India or in any other country. I may even work on my dream project of breeding Himalayan Monal pheasant with the learned skills over LSeT. So LSeT can take me far longer if I give my best to get skilled in learning animal care and management program.

I have never worked with such an institution, so this is my first experience working with exotic pets, but I got to know from experiences as shared by other trainees, that no other institute let their trainees free to work and implement their ideas and knowledge for
improvement and welfare of farm. LSeT as its name stands LIFE SCIENCE EDUCATION TRUST, provides hands-on training on the live culture of different species starting from avian species to reptiles to mammals and insects, and educates new trainees on their housing, nutrition, behaviour, breeding and so on. apart from living species LSet provides hands-on training on gardening, fabrication, interior, and research-oriented topics depending on individuals choice and interest to learn, we have different types of animals and birds one can learn on their nutrition, cage modification, nest boxes improvement, perch placement, nesting material, breeding behaviour,
incubation, hand raising chicks from day zero. There is a scope of learning on insects live culture also. In nutshell depending on
individuals choice and interest LSeT is the best platform to improve one’s skills and move forward in the field of animal care and management.
